Ruby Franke, Jodi Hildebrandt sentenced to prison in Utah child abuse case

Jodi Hildebrandt was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday for child abuse. Hildebrandt was found guilty of abusing her two children, ages 4 and 6, over a period of several months. The abuse included hitting, kicking, and burning the children. Hildebrandt was also found guilty of neglect, after the children were found to be malnourished and dehydrated. Judge John Walton said that Hildebrandt’s actions were “cruel and inhumane” and that she “should be ashamed of herself.” Hildebrandt’s attorney said that she is “remorseful” for her actions and that she hopes to one day be reunited with her children.
